Band The purpose of the band program is to broaden the education of the child by giving each student an experience in and understanding of instrumental music. Being a member of the band gives the student an opportunity to be part of an ensemble, as well as imparting a feeling of accomplishment and participation. The key is involvement. Music is a highly individual activity in which the student has to get personally involved. Students receive lessons once a week during school and the advanced band meets once a week after school. Our band program is run through the Instrumental Music Program.
